I REALLY want to make this for myself. Had my eye on it for quite sometime now.

It’s perfect for fall/winter here in Austin.

Have the yarn, just need to dye it.  I am thinking I will go with a similar color.  Although I am open for suggestions.  What do you think?

Don’t you hate it when you change your mind mid-way through a project?  At this point you are forced to rip it.  There is just NO way you can bear to knit another boring stitch.  Somehow that ripping (sounds more violent than actually is) feels like a huge time sucking, boring burden has been lifted.  Then you  search and search and search to find a pattern that will become the project you just ripped. When you finally find that perfect pattern you realize it is in a book that costs $25.  You then try to justify spending $25 for ONE pattern.  “Oh yeah, I would totally knit these other patterns in this book.  What a great deal – 26 patterns for only $25.  That’s only $1 and change per pattern.”  Totally worth it right?  Dammit.  Then the voice of reason my husband steps in and says “Are you nuts?  NO WAY BRENNA.”  You see, like many people right now, we are on a pretty tight budget.  Unfortunately, I am going to have to come up with something else.  Maybe I can piece two free patterns together for a similar look?  Now I am on to something…
